What should you know about the home plans listed here?

These home plans are from home builders all over Canada. There is usually customizations that can be done to the layout and certainly the finishings for many of the plans. If you’re building on your own lot be sure to check with the builder to see if the plan is available as some of the home plans are only available within one of the development communities.

It’s possible that there are show homes for particular home plans. If you’re interested in seeing show homes for anything that you find here be sure to connect with the builder to inquire.

Can I customize the home plans that I find here?

That really depends on the builder and the community in which you build. Some plans come with different options for their layouts, while others come with optional basements. You’re usually able to customize any of the finishings but for the most part the concepts are pre-determined.

You will need to discuss these questions directly with the builder of your choice.

Can I get a builder to build these plans on my own property?

Many of the above plans are specific to particular communities, however, there are lots that you can build anywhere that the builder is willing. Plans that indicate a particular community or multiple communities may not be available on your own land. However, it’s best to check with the builder if you want to build one of their layouts on your property as there may be a custom design that they can create for you.
